What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?Botox and Dysport are both injectable treatments used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The main difference between the two lies in their formulation and diffusion properties. Dysport tends to diffuse slightly more broadly from the injection site, which can be advantageous for treating larger areas. Conversely, Botox diffuses less, which can provide more precise results for smaller treatment areas. Both products work by temporarily weakening the muscles responsible for wrinkles, resulting in a smoother appearance. Botox takes approximately 5-7 days to kick in. Dysport takes 3-4 days to kick in. Both products take 2 weeks for full effect and both products last 3-4 months.

How long do dermal fillers last? The longevity of dermal fillers can vary depending on several factors, including the type of filler used and the area treated. At Marlee Patricia Aesthetics, we use high-quality dermal fillers that typically last between 6 to 18 months. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers, which are commonly used for restoring volume, smoothing wrinkles, often last around 6 to 12 months, while other filler types, like those used for cheek or deeper facial enhancements, can last up to 18 months.

What is the difference between Dermal fillers and Sculptra? We understand that choosing the right cosmetic treatment can be challenging. Dermal fillers and Sculptra are both popular options for enhancing facial volume and reducing wrinkles, but they work in different ways and are suited for different needs. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances, usually made from hyaluronic acid, that are injected directly into the skin to add volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. The results from dermal fillers are typically immediate, making them an excellent choice for those looking for quick, noticeable improvements. On the other hand, Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)-based injectable that works differently. Rather than providing immediate volume, Sculptra gradually stimulates collagen production over time, helping to restore the skin's inner structure and increase facial volume subtly and progressively. This makes Sculptra ideal for individuals looking for a more natural, long-term improvement. The results of Sculptra develop over a few months and can last for up to two years or more, offering a lasting solution for age-related facial volume loss. At MP Aesthetics, we offer both treatments and can help you determine which is best suited for your individual goals and skin condition. Our experienced professionals are dedicated to providing personalized care to ensure you achieve the best possible results.
